TRAINING PACKAGES DESIGNED BY PHILIP & ANN ATKINSON
'TEAMSWORK' - an innovative team exercise of at least three hours duration including post exercise facilitation. The Game is an extremely powerful process for understanding how people operate within and between teams. This exercise is competitive and requires two teams to develop a strategy for amassing as many points as possible. If each team develops a 'what if' approach to how the other team operates and makes decisions, the exercise will bring out all the dynamics of teams competing to win points. The nature of the exercise is highly interactive and its design is based upon successful consultancy and training interventions operating across functional and geographic boundaries. This exercise is specifically based upon actual training interventions in leading companies in the USA and the UK. It will bring out all the learning points that will enable teams to work more effectively. From this one exercise alone the teams will be able to develop a constructive action plan for how they can work more effectively with other teams. A unique and challenging exercise, with excellent facilitator notes taking all the pain out of preparation and running of the event. £350 plus VAT, (Total £411.25p)
'MASTERING CHAOS -Become a silo buster!' Most of us work in matrix organisations and we need to be able to work effectively across business silos, especially resolving cross functional process problems. MASTERING CHAOS is a game that has been designed to demonstrate the importance of working across boundaries and developing the skills to do so. Of three hours duration, this exercise and facilitated sessions are forceful reminders of working on complex projects with key responsibilities up, down, and across, the organisation. Working on the Matrix and 'Managing Chaos' enables people to test their understanding of complex team problem solving and introduces the participants to the core principles of Matrix Management and managing with ambiguity. This is a powerful and dynamic learning tool, designed to please the busy Trainer or facilitator with a Trainers Manual to make her or his job easier. These carefully designed exercises and Manual put the Trainer in charge of running events and managing the learning process. £350 plus VAT - (Total £411.25)
'DESIGN & DELIVER' - Analyse and create an innovate structure, correctly frame and communicate to those who have to complete the task. 'Design & Deliver' is a competitive exercise for several teams. Focused upon developing accurate communication flow between teams to achieve specific outcomes - the ability to deliver to specifications is a challenging process for teams who have to work across the supply chain and between functional areas. This exercise was originally designed for sales staff interacting with operational people responsible for delivering to rigid specifications. This exercise allows people to explore their most favoured channels and methods of communication to question and develop more effective communication strategies. Wherever there is a conflict of communication, 'Design and Deliver' is the exercise to support an action plan to get two distinct groups working across boundaries and developing new ways of communicating. The exercise provides over 90 minutes of team working and facilitated discussion, together with action planning would fill at least a further 60 minutes. £350 plus VAT - (Total £411.25)
'SHAPING THE VISION - LIVING THE VALUES' - is a highly interactive toolkit for the Trainer or facilitator confronting the difficult task of shaping and creating the Vision for the organisation. We have designed three nd Behaviours within an organisation. This set of exercises can be used in a Corporate setting working through 'Vulnerability Analysis' on the Strategic Vision for an organisation. From this exercise specific work can be undertaken in workshop format on forming core Values for the business, shaping a performance driven Culture, exploring the myriad of Behaviours which will underpin and illustrate the core Values and Vision and direction for the organisation. This process is equally applicable for a smaller division or business unit, manufacturing facility, sales or service centre, branch or regional office etc to map out their local Vision, Values, Culture and Behaviours as well as operational objectives. Everything has been well structured and incorporated within this comprehensive set of exercises. There is sufficient input to supply over ten hours of highly intense activity for the most senior of staff. Alternatively, the same material can be used at a local level, dealing with operational or shorter term strategic objectives. This package is accompanied by Participants' Workbooks. £420 plus VAT, (Total £493.50)
'STRATEGY' - is an extremely powerful process that drives sales strategy. By analysing current markets, customers and products and services the 'STRATEGY' process helps management groups and sales and marketing executives assess the value and contribution of their current services and customers. This 'process' also enables participants to assess the potential for business development, penetration and growth in existing and new markets. Based upon a more user friendly, simpler methodology of the 'Boston Grid', participants are able to assess and analyse their current and potential customers and services as 'Loss Leaders', 'Bright Ideas', 'High Flyers' and 'Falling Stars'. They can identify precisely where they understand their products and customers are on the 'STRATEGY MATRIX'. By assessing the location on the MATRIX it is then possible to discuss and agree how best to revitalise the existing and potential services and products the organisation can provide, and develop innovative strategies to potentially target specific customers, markets or to design new services for an existing market. As well as being a valuable sales strategy tool, the output from the process can also be a rich input for product development, customer or account management, research and development strategies. STRATEGY provides all participants with the 'diagnostics' to assess current and potential markets as well as appraise existing services and design new services for new or existing markets. The Trainers Guide provides all the information required to run events over at least four hours. These sessions can be run at a strategic level for senior managers or at a more tactical level for assessing operational strategy in a set location or function. £420 plus VAT, (Total £493.50)
PLAY TO WIN - a powerful process for assessing the wall of resistance found in both 'change management' and 'sales scenarios'. Based upon the proposition that selling ideas or services is a generic process that when working with people requires understanding objection handling at its highest level. It does not matter if we are selling tangible products or services or selling the need to change the way we work and operate as a business, the skill of influencing and persuading is best practised when we fully understand the dynamics behind the personality of the person we are trying to influence. From our extensive work in the field of Influencing we have designed a process to help the change maker, persuader, influencer or sales person to read their prospect or target, assess the key HOT and COLD buttons that drive that persons behaviour, and then use this information to reformat the message to deal with any potential resistance before preseenting their case to best effect. In this process, we investigate the four predominant personality types, the, Regulator, Visionary, Facilitator and Analyst and the likely mind programmes they run when displaying resistance to proposals or ideas. Questionnaires and Play to Win Grid are provided to assess the dominant personality types and comes with a comprehensive Trainers Guide to ensure at least 4 hours of exercises from this process.
£420 plus VAT, (Total £493.50)
