Coaching Yourself: Life Planning & Time Management

Philip Atkinson states in his new book 'Who's Driving Your Bus?' (Spring 2007) "As each second, minute and hour ticks away we each have less time left in our Life Bank. Knowing this, why is it that so many people squander their energy and time, and fail to focus upon what they really want? Many devote an incredible amount of energy and time to planning the next holiday or a second car for the family, while at the same time failing to plan what they want to have, to do and become."

This two day Process on Life & Time Management focuses upon the key areas of your life where you want to take most control. Work is still a ‘central life interest’ for most people and being able to balance this with other demands on us is central to living a full and productive life.

We have carefully crafted and designed a series of Workshops into this two day ‘experience’ focusing upon how our beliefs and values can shape how we view managing our time and our life.

The two day Workshop covers the following key issues and requires some commitment to ‘pre Workshop activity’ before the actual event.

Where are you going and how are you going to get there? How you can focus upon eight areas of life planning? Exploring each of the areas and setting objectives. Resolving conflicts in life planning – where are the conflicts and how to eradicate them? What is your identity – what is it that you want to become, have, do and create? What are your personal beliefs and how do they shape your behaviour? ‘You do what you value and you value what you do’. How do your values and your beliefs shape your actions and behaviour? Learning how to change your ‘negative, self limiting’ to ‘positive, empowering’ beliefs. What is your Life-Line? Where are the peaks of ‘pure ecstasy’ and where are the’ troughs’ – the tough times? How does your Life Line fit with that of your partner or family and friends. Shaping your Life-Line the way you want, to create your future. Third generation time management. Assessing where your time goes and eradicating the time wasters. Assessing priorities and goals. Managing stress and ambiguity: the other side of the coin of time management Developing new time management habits – becoming more assertive, more proactive, more planful and playful, become a team leader, achieve more through others, banish the paperwork jungle, manage meetings more effectively, present yourself powerfully, be confident.

These Workshops are run as ‘Open Workshops’ and can also be tailored for in-house Training.
